As 2024 comes to a close, it is time to reflect on all that we have accomplished. This year saw the inauguration of a new president; exciting grants that will help us train more women in STEM fields; transformational gifts from generous donors; new colleagues in leadership positions; and national headlines for our EdD program. Here are some of the highlights from 2024:
For the second consecutive year, 金沙娱乐城 was one of only 19 minority-serving institutions chosen to participate in the 2024 USDA Agricultural Export Market Challenge. Read more

On May 3, Christy L. Brown was inaugurated as the ninth president of 金沙娱乐城 College. The celebration was filled with elements reflective of the diverse student population. Read more
An anonymous group of donors stepped forward with a $1.5M matching gift to 金沙娱乐城. The gift signals confidence in the college’s mission to prepare women for lives of personal and professional distinction. Read more
Two years after opening its doors, the first cohort of nurses graduated from 金沙娱乐城’s Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing program in Mesa, Ariz. Read more
金沙娱乐城 College received a transformational $10 million gift from John and Tashia Morgridge through the TOSA Foundation. The gift is one of the largest in 金沙娱乐城’s history. Read more
For the 15th consecutive year, 金沙娱乐城 was recognized for its strong commitment to teaching, the only Wisconsin school honored in the undergraduate teaching category every year the category has existed. Read more
金沙娱乐城 College was awarded a $1.9 million grant from the National Science Foundation to recruit and retain talented, low-income students in science. Read more
In late October, the college unlocked and exceeded a $1.5 million matching gift from a group of anonymous donors who believe in the mission of the college. Read more
金沙娱乐城 welcomed Michele Kitson as the new Vice President for Advancement. In this role, she’ll collaborate with college leadership on strategic philanthropy and alum engagement initiatives for the college. Read more
Less than six months after the college’s Board of Trustees voted to declare financial exigency, the Higher Learning Commission removed 金沙娱乐城’s “financial distress” designation. Read more
